Get in touch with me for a free consultation. I'll ask questions about what you are looking to accomplish with your website, desired features and design elements, and any support you will need launching/hosting the website. This allows us to thoroughly plan a complete project up front, avoiding costly delays and unforeseen challenges later on.
Once I understand your requirements and approximate budget, I will share a proposal with you that describes what you can expect from your website. If you agree to the proposal, I will share a services contract with you and request a deposit (typically 10%). I create contracts for all work agreements in order to have written expectations and to benefit both of us. The contract does not contain complicated legal terms or passages of unreadable text.
I will create mock-ups and prototypes based on earlier discussions. By allowing you to review a visual representation of our understanding of your needs early on in the project, we can further solidify your requirements and discover any additional needs or challenges that did not present themselves in the planning phase.
I will begin the process of building your app or website. During this time, I will keep in regular contact with you to share progress and get creative feedback. There is no limit to the number of revisions that you may request. I also perform regular functional tests with the goal of correcting any problems during the build rather than addressing them after project completion.
I do thorough testing for appearance, functionality, and performance on all sites and applications prior to final launch. I test in various browsers, operating systems, and devices to be sure that the site is responsive and performs well across all platforms. You'll have the chance to access to a live version of the website so that you can interact with and test it as well.
I can help set you up with a domain and provider if you don't already have one. Additionally, I will transfer all of the website files to you. You will have full control over any accounts with hosting or other service providers, and the files that I produce can easily be modified if you choose to work with another developer in the future. You will never be tied down to me.
I am able to offer ongoing support to update or maintain your website after the final product is delivered. This service is optional and begins at launch. It can be cancelled at any time.
